4 stars The Jethro Tull album I listen to the most. And when it goes on the turntable it remains there for aquite a while. It evokes a number of themes of images of a rural life. You can almost smell this album. This reviewer lives the city life right now but even just kooking at the cover reminds him of his younger days growing up in the countryside and working in the stables with horses as summer jobs. The Mouse police ( the cats) were on 24 hour alert and this is beautifully reflected and conveyed on the opening track. You should have seen these stable cats stalk their prey.I don't want to go through the album track by track but No Lullaby is one of my Tull Favourites. I don't know if this is the best Tull starting point. If you have never had a taste of a country life you might not be able to appreciate the intentions of this record. Get in to some earlier Jethro Tull before giving this one a test drive. But without question, one of the best Jethro Tull records and once you have familiarized yourself with the inner workings of leader Ian Anderson's mind pick this one up.
