3 stars The music of this group is impresive: Purely progresive music with renaissance- medieval like touches. For sure they are pretentious but at least they have a little humour ( see if not adquiring the taste,s cover). They did a fantastic music work , they unravel little melodic gems , some section are little medieval progresive diamonds in fac,t mixed perfectly with dark jazzy progresive sections, like in the "Advent of Panurge". "Raconteur Troubadour" is medieval like with vocal harmonies, to repetitive for my taste, it seems so insistent with the same litle medieval piano melodie. A cry for everyone is good rocking progresive with a lot of changes. Knots is crazy, well crafted song, with a great vocal composition, but over it is dark full of strangely naive xilophone sounds.....Really a highlight in progresive music. The boys in the band really great with a indescriptible begining rock kind latin-jazz kind medieval and a central motive close to newage but really well managed inside the song, very strange and progresive. Dogs life Is simphonic and folkie, strange, satiricall but with a serious rigorous clasical tone with wich sometimes i have some problems ( but other times i can enjoy pretty much). Think of me with kindness Im sorry but for me that one is a bluff, horrible beggining in a upperclass musical style with a horrible falsete( fake high-pitched) voice , the chorus could be from the badest musical really. River is good rockprogresive with a good dark progresion an optimist leif motiv, the second phase is aerie and floating, with amazing synths and a laid-back blues section. Indeed is a very good song but before the bluff of the previous one, it seem like having to fix the disc. Maybe if i focus on the lyrics ill get a diferent impression , but thats what i think by now...... 3.5 stars
