CLUTCHING AT STRAWS

A fine album by Marillion, very pleasant to listen to. Like Misplaced Childhood this record indulges in rather short songs, but this time beautifully crafted with the skill of the first two albums. There are only two fillers (Going down, Just for the Record) among the valuable songs assembled here (WARM WET CIRCLES; WHITE RUSSIAN; INCOMMUNICADO; SLAINTHE MHATH; SUGAR MICE; THE LAST STRAW). Since i do not own the 2 disc edition I can't say anything about the bonustrax, but judging by the reviews of other collaborators they are quite good. So, the original version is definitively 4 stars.
