Whenever I try to bring one of my friends to the "Prog Side" of music this is invariably one of the records I play them. PT Has evolved their sound alot through time and this is what they have become. Every aspect of PT sound is in this Record from the heavier meatal sound to the darker melodic stuff. So when trying to convince your friends that they are missing out just throw this on and if "Blackest eyes" doesn't convince them move to "Gravity eyelidsl" or "Strip the soul". And if you really want to make a statement play "The sound of Muzak" : )
