TEMPLE OF SHADOWS

Finally another great album from this amazing band. After Holy Land and especially after André Matos left the band, Angra became a very uninteresting band. I believe that with this release they recovered some of the elements that made me a fan in the mid 90's. That brazilian touch that includes samba and amazing acustics guitar is back and that's excellent. Kiko Loureiro is one of the best guitar players out there and the rhythm section is just amazing. From my point of view, the only weak point of this band is the vocalist. He has a good voice but unfortunately he isn't as goog as André Matos. Songs like The Shadow Hunter and No Pain For The Dead are great examples of what good power/progressive metal should sound like.
