THE SINGLES

i bought this compilation only because in 1969/ 1971 Aphrodite's Child are extreme famous in italy and I was curious to know with that music this fact was possible. That Aphrodite's music was great is ok, for me but Is strange that this music was... So... So little Prog. Or better... Proto Prog... 24 charat Proto Prog. Wuth this compilation I known a big band, a sort of Greek The moody Blues. This obvious similarity it was never put in stand out here in ProgArchives. If you think, in fact, in terms of true Prog is clear that the Aphrodite's Child isn't a good band. But if for Aphrodite's Child speaking and reasoning in Proto Prog terms Aphrodite's Child is sure a great band, like in The Singles compilation.
