3 stars I'll try to explain what I feel for this IQ album. First of all it's IMO their best effort. Nevertheless I wouldn't put it among the neo prog albums ever. This is great stuff from a very respectable neo prog band, but even in "Ever" I still dislike some parts of the songs. There are always a few minutes that I found musically poor, without real interest. I know I'll bug a mess of IQ fans but I don't want to negate the talent of this pioneer neo prog group. It's simply that I sometimes don't agree with the slower passages which I find not necessary. However they produce really good music, some songs are amazing and at times I would be tempted to give the album a 4 stars rating. But each time I end one of IQ's albums, I fell a strange mix of satisfaction and relief. Songs "The Darkest Hour" and "Leap Of Faith" lead me to think it's a masterpiece but the other songs remain mean to me. Actually it's a 3.5 stars album, enjoyable but not unforgettable.
