PER UN AMICO

PFM is the best Italian symphonic rock band. They are a very good symphonic rock band, but not in the same league as the likes of Yes and Genesis. Genesis has about 5 melodies in Firth of Fifth that beat the most epic PFM melody. The reason these guys are so highly rated is because they are set apart from the English and other symphonic bands. I think they should be in the same category, I wonder how people would have rated them then, as in if they weren't hyped as a great "Italian Symphonic Prog Band".

Anyway, this is a very good album. The music on it is very lush and smooth with good melodies and solos. The two best tracks are Per Un Amico and Il Banchetto in my opinion. The lyrics of course I'm not going to take into account, I have a feeling that if I knew what they were saying, I wouldn't enjoy the music as much anyway.
