PAT METHENY GROUP: THE WAY UP

Pat Metheny is simply the greatest jazz musician still making music. The fact that he has made one of his best albums this late in his career goes to show that he is still getting better and progressing and not tiring or falling into irrelevance like many musicians do after decades of making music. The whole thing is basically the same piece and is some of the most ambitious jazz ever recorded. There aren't many memorable parts, but the music is just such a pleasure to listen to and you'll be at the end of the album before you know it. This is one of the best albums of the 21st century and I recomend it to anyone interested in music beyond what is played on the radio.
