5 stars This album/Trevor Rabin always seem to get a negative response. I have taught/played music for over 20 years and Steve Howe is my favorite guitar player. That being said, I can say with confidence that this album is most certainly progressive, however the progressive stylings are hidden in the great songwriting. Just because the songs are catchy, they don't wander endless for 20 minutes, or they don't have confusing time changes, doesn't mean they've sold out. Any bar band who has attempted to play these songs will tell you how progressive they are. The songs are so well crafted that you don't notice time changes and key changes. I realize that some people do not enjoy the songs on this album but any one who questions Rabins skills on the guitar simply do not know what they are talking about. For taking progressive songs, trimming the fat, and producing timeless tunes that could actually be commercially successful, I give this album 5 stars. That's coming from a HUGE Steve Howe/Topographic Oceans fan!!! Its a different era of Yes, but it is still Yes. Lets just enjoy it all. Take Care.
