5 stars This wonderful collection may mean more to the older Camel fan. Those of us in our mid lives may have more of a special feeling for this splendid piece of work. After the death of the brilliant Pete Bardens, you just had to wonder what Andy was going to do. The result made perfect sense, a beautiful blend of reflecting on ones life and our memories of youth. Therefore, all the musical influences on Andy are shown here as part of the reflection. The similarities to Genesis and Jethro Tull, I believe are intentional and part of the work. Pete's death was a wake up call for many of us at that age knowing our physical youth has left us. This collection was quite a healer for me. "....the air she left behind....." god don't we know! The choo choo's and the carnival brought us back to our childhoods and overall the album sums up your life, keeps you young in mind and young at heart and as the album closes with the last train leaving the station, you know its time to hop on board and push on again! There is more life to enjoy! Andy and the band played on this album with the same joy they showed during the Rajaz tour and the very memorable Cambridge show I saw. I even got a chance to talk to Andy during a break from soundcheck! Andy's slide work on the first track just launches you to get up and boogie! There is an incredibly gorgeous blending of synth and andy's acoustic on "it's a Boys life". "Fox hill" is really just a fun smiling love song with a sense of humour that keeps the proceedings light and happy.Great fun! Go buy this cd. It is high art, wonderful poetry and full of life!
