CHASE THE DRAGON

For me this is a classic album. In part because it is one that formed part of the backdrop to my teenage years but mainly because I still enjoy listening to it even after 25 years. It has everything - ballads, rockers, over the top anthems and live standards - more than enough to get your feet tapping and your head swaying. Bob Catley is in fine vocal form and Tony Clarkin's guitar playing is outstanding. If you're looking to check out what Magnum are capable of then this is a great place to start. It's more classic rock than progressive but the songs are so good that that shouldn't matter. Highly recommended.
