After a stunning debut LP (see my review), the second Sunbirds LP takes a different musical direction. Now the band is going towards a softer jazzy world fusion -already present on the first LP- in the realm of DEO DATO. The psychedelic influences are gone in favor of a much more predictable, almost easy listening style. Don't get me wrong, it's very pleasant and a nice travel through time but not (very) progressive and inventive anymore, except one piece which leans towards LINTON LONNIE SMITH. The recording quality is excellent, as well as the CD transfer. Now you're warned! --
