Firstly is this prog ? Well yes I believe it is, but its roots are in American Doo-whop music rather than than rock and roll. It is also the work of a genius. A lot has already been said far to much in fact. So buy yourself a copy and listen because this remains one of the most important records of all time a true classic and an example of all that progressive music can be. It is also an important document of 1967-68 seen through the eyes of freaks rather than drugged up hippy's. You need a copy of this record as much as any other LP represented here and its worth all 7 stars but it will have to be happy with just 5. Those reviews who believe this is not prog don't understand the meaning of the term IMHO.
