Litanies of Satan is Diamanda's debut album and, God, what a debut! Two long songs which shows the unbeliaveble vocal skills of this amazing artist.

Using just some drones, effects and tapes, Diamanda build a solid, provocative and frightening performance based on a well known poem wrote by Charles Baudelaire. The Litanies Of Satan is a dark piece sung in french, which shows all the power of Diamanda's voice...

Wild Woman With Steak-Knives (Side B) is another shocking piece but here Diamanda put beside all effects to sing almos a capel... Ok, maybe "sing" is not the right concept cos this side is full of breathes, whispers, sotto voces, spits, cries, etc. Based on her enormous vocals skills she is capable to show a wide range of emotions in 17 freaky minutes!

Be careful. The album is really dark and it's a really frightening experience. If you are looking for something that really blows your mind, this album is the right one!
