3.5 Much better than I anticipated. I remember hearing the thought of an Andersonless album was preposterous. On my first listen, I could barely even make out the different vocalist. The vocals are certainly not what is weak on this album. In general, this album suffers from a lack of fluidity and inconsistency. They produced Machine Messiah, Yes' best work since Tales from Topographic oceans. White Car is despicable. And Temups fugit is a really sweet way to end the problem. It would be easy to knock this album for lacking anderson, but trust me, it is not the case. Though it's not necessary for a prog collection, it would be very nice to have as a yes fan.
