White Shadow
3 stars This is a very personal album for Peter. It is very different and darker than "So". I think it is a lot better too. On "Us", He still is incorporating world music into his own, even more so than on "So". Peter starts the album off with a song about his disintegrating relationship (now repaired) with his daughter. It is absolutely beautiful. "Come to Talk to Me" is probably my favorite here. The instruments, persussion, and some of the vocals all create that feel of world music. I agree with daveconn that "Washing of the Water" is reminiscent of "Indigo". Peter really can write some great piano ballads. The whole album is great though. It melts together and is a great bunch of music to listen to all at once.
