4 stars The Doors have so much to offer for every music fan,and their debut sums it up.primarily a rock album you can hear clear influences of jazz, blues and folk making some key elements for a progressive album. This is the album to start with, especially if your a fan of the psychedelic era. Right from the two minute thirty rock song "break on through",the seven minute organ extravaganza (Hats off to ray Manzarek) "light my fire" to the eleven minute psychedelic epic "the end" every minute still sounds new and exciting to this day.
