4 stars A nice album of space rock that leans heavily on modern trends. Deaf Scene's first LP features phenomenal work by all three members that ends up guiding listeners through a wonderful instrumental soundscape. "Rijal" accomplishes with guitars what otherwise would have to be done with synths, in fact matching Queen in that sense, and features interesting voice samples. "Building Buildings" is a signature track for the band, very smooth and flawlessly played, with the best guitars on the album. The opener is the other really great track, a neat lead-in for the record. Otherwise, this is a decent work, with their new space being quite enjoyable. Side Two is better than Side One overall. Highly recommended.
