5 stars Screw it, this one gets a Five.

Generally, awarding 5 stars to a non-prog album on a prog site should be wrong. I mean, the description for the ratings says:

*****: Essential: a masterpiece of progressive music.

After thinking it over, I still decided to give it 5 based on the following reasons.

1: This album is good. I mean ridiculously good. 2: This album's in the prog-related section anyway, so an innocent browser will know that he's not going to get TFTO. 3: This album was REVOLUTIONARY in it's combinations of guitar and synth. Baba O'Riley? Bargain? Getting in Tune? God!

And finally, the most important reason, this album belongs in ANY music collection.

If my friend was a modern rock fan, I'd recommend this album to him. If he was a progger, I'd recommend this album. If he was a classical music fan, I'd recommend this album. If he was a j-pop fan, I'd recommend this album. If he was an Andrew Lloyd Webber fan, I'd smash this album against his head in hopes that the good music will somehow find it's way into his brain.

There's enough amazing "WOW COOL" moments here for proggers, like the intro to Baba, or the guitar-synth interplay in 'Fooled, or pretty much every song on this album. As an added bonus, this album is also one of the best of all time.

If you like prog, you'll like this album. I suppose that's the important part.
