10,000 DAYS

"10,000 Days" is my second album by Tool, after recently picking up Lateralus. When I first turned it on I thought the first track, 'Vicarious', was wonderful. However, after that, there's no spine to the music. It quickly wears itself out and is boring. 'Jambi' could have been a good song, but it's about 4 minutes too long at 7:28. 'Wings for Marie' and '10,000 Days' just are long and drawn out, while the vocals on 'The Pot' are just disturbing in a bad way. Although 'Lipjan Conjuring' is one of the better ambient tracks I've heard in a while, the remaining songs are just bad. This is a very boring album, I recommend it for those who are Tool fans only.
