4 stars SIX ELEMENTS' debut CD 'Primary Elements' (2012) was a very accomplished album with old Genesis as the dominant influence, Pink Floyd and Camel like another flavour. It scores great in terms of playing, production and presentation. Quite obviously, the lead singer Stanley Whitaker (ex-Happy the Man) has a definite Peter Gabriel timbre to voice. Dave DeMarco (former mate from Oblivion Sun) makes guitar howl in the same way that we know from Steve Hackett. And last but not least, keyboardist Michael (Misha) Shengaout who's certainly from Mr. Tony Banks school, providing plenty of interesting solos as well as symphonic progressive backdrops. All material has a strong resemblance to the period of 'Nursery Crime' / 'Foxtrot' / 'Selling England By The Pounds'. It can grab you from the first instant to make feel like you are listening to something special, in the best traditions of Golden 70's era. 4,5 stars...
