4 stars "YS" is complete musical lunacy at it's finest. Theres no controversy in my opinion on this album because it is what it is. Dark, Theatrical, very unperfect, but extremely complex, spastic and a lot of dynamics. I feel the ELP or Gentle Giant influence from the record maybe even Van Der Graff though I think that it's apparent that this band made a move that was more over the top then anything made up until that time. The keyboardists certainly had the creativity to back up his chops which may or may not be beyond Emerson, Monkman, or Minnear at that time, but i'm confident in saying that Balletto Di Bronzo's keyboard player was more interesting as is this album for 1972. But it's not for everybody even applying to some of the prog fans. It's an intimidating noisy album and the songs are spastic and all over the place and the singing is crazy too. Itallians in their prime musical strangeness and brilliance.
