LIVE - THE WAY WE WALK VOLUME ONE - THE SHORTS

First off--if you read these reviews, as I do, to gauge if you should increase your progressive rock collection with the reviewed disc, then read this first: THIS IS NOT A PROGRESSIVE ROCK DISC. This IS a good live set of some well-known 80's and 90's rock hits, with some nice guitar playing that was absent in the studio recordings. Genesis may have changed their sound from complex to simple, but they remained excellent musicians and that fact is shown on this album. If you're a Genesis fan, especially a "hits" era Genesis fan, this is a nice live document. It is not a "bad" album--but in a progressive sense, it's only for completionists.
