1 stars So long as there are Rush albums entitled Hemispheres, Permanent Waves, Moving Pictures etc. I see no reason to ever listen to this album called Roll The Bones. First of all the production is gross! It's got this radio ready sheen that I cannot stand for. The boys were clearly going for mass air play here. Which brings me to my second point, rap!?! On a Rush record! It sickens me. I've heard of plundering the third world for musical ideas i.e. Paul Simons Graceland but this is just ludicrous. Rap should be left to the professionals. The songwriting is okay, Dreamline is nice. Bravado is fun. The instrumental is probably the most tolerable track on this record. But, with so many other fantastic albums by this band, why settle for adult contemporary Rush when you can have badass, youthful, hard rockin' Rush!?! As a long time Rush fan I can tell you whole heartedly that you are better off never listening to this record. Don't even acknowledge it's existence. Don't make the mistake I made.
