GLASTONBURY FAYRE 1971

OK, so its not perfect ... but it is a little gem, if only for 3 tracks. The opener, "Its only the world said the girl" (which by the way was the opening number of the Melkweg encore 2006) is a 5 star surprise, sadly mashed by a power cut at only 3.48 mins in. You get the feeling that it would have gone on a long time. Great opener. The other 2 tracks that get me to play this regularly are 'Divine Mother' & 'Bambolay'.

4 stars because ...

This is Gong playing that hectic, clashing, free form, trucculent stuff that we love. This album is not polished, and there is better Gong, but I love it as it is
