THE TIDES RETURN FOREVER

One of the band's best albums ever. Top melody making, top arrangements and instrumentation, top musicianship, top vocals. With The Tides Return Forever, Eloy became as magnificent and splendid as in their glorious era (from Floating to Time To Turn), though they avoided compiling their old musical discoveries and continued to develop their current musical direction. Some grey-headed prog fans say that this direction itself is wrong and what was in 1970s was anyway better. I'm also grey-headed, but I'm always happy to admit that a 1990s or even 1980s release is a masterpiece if and when it is, no matter if it does not sound like a 1970s album and therefore belongs to a different coordinate system. Highlights are Fatal Illusions, Childhood Memories and majestic Company Of Angels.
