4 stars A top UK rock mag recently ran a special edition on prog. One of their letters about the issue claimed prog was all about pixies and fairies etc. all cliches. The usual blinkered attitude of people who don't bother to actually try listening before critisising. With Electric Castle it is full of all those cliches and more and it's great. English & Scandinavian folk lore Egyptian mythology and space men all go into the mix to create a fantasy story in music. The story may be a little predictable but the music certainly isn't. From powerfull metal riffs to soft ballads and traditional folk sounds it has everything. Some great guests appear on the album Fish and Thijs Van Leer included adding to the atmosphere of a long double CD which always seems to be over too soon.Very good but won't be eveyones cup of tea.
