Progressive Biography

Ever since I encountered the guitar solo off Comfortably Numb some 20 years ago - I have been head over heels in love with music. It´s not like I didn´t enjoy music before, but something magical happened to me that day.
I played a lot of tennis back then, and although sounding slightly absurd, I had my first "real" musical revelation on the court. I was just sitting and resting - looking at jumping balls - left right left right, and then my best friend´s big brother suddenly whacks a couple of headphones onto my ears - and POW music has never been the same again.
Whereas music used to be something joyous and mildly festive - a beat you can dance to, it suddenly took on the form of the universe. Some kind of monster? You betcha!
Music could give me goosebumps and catapult me into outer space - just through notes. Notes? I was genuinely flabbergasted and completely hooked. It became an obsession. MUSIC!! I need more music that sends me packing in the outer regions of the milky-way!!!
This side of me, has been properly awakened through my love of Krautrock, and to some extent psychedelic and electronic music. I´m very visually minded when it comes to music, and especially those 3 "styles" speak to me in a way, that I would never have thought music could.
During my time here at PA - I´ve been getting into everything. Nearly... My love for the Italian progressive movement, is by now flaming like one of those forest fires in Australia.

If I were to list the different musics that I love, then you would be reading this page until 2050. The one thing I usually say about it is, that if it´s got some soul - then I´ll probably like it. Music for me has always been more about feel than actual performance, but that´s not to say that I don´t enjoy some wonderful showmanship. I´m just as much into Free-jazz as I´m into electronic trance, it´s just down to the players and the feel of the thing.
