Having keyboards in your music doesn't necessarily make you prog.
And not having keys in your music doesn't mean you aren't prog.

Of course they're prog. For a start, you can hear the progression in
their own work, from Opiate to Lateralus. Also, they're progressing the
style of music they're playing in, doing their own thing, etc. ANd they
rule supremely.

I like them ... but I don't have any of their albums, and I never get around to buy one. I'll set up a ebay search for aenima and lateralus.
BTW: Do they still tour? As far as I know, they've ben put "on hold" because APC takes precedence.

Yes,they are still touring.Their new album Teleincision should be out this year and the band Isis is already rumored to be the opening act.And while Maynard James Keenan has stressed emphatically that APC is NOT a side project he has also stated that is his main band and takes precedence over everything.

WHAT? WHEN IS THE ALBUM COMING OUT?
I LOVE AENIMA AND LATERALUS, rest of their albums are interesting but not at this level.
definitely PROG, no doubt about this

Yeh I agree as well.Thats just dumb & narrowminded to state that as a requirement of prog.
