Please, MTV is reliable in Rap or Pop, not in Prog
And Wikipedia is a place that can be edited by anybody
None of both is reliable at all IMHO.
Don't know the band so won't say a word, but I believe that a band needs to be vastly recognized by the Prog community appart fr0om being influential AND influenced by our genre.
If other already included bands don't fulfill this requirements, it's not justification for adding other bands that shouldn't be here.

I used to own their first two (as well as some of their newer I believe) and I don't remember them being particularly prog.

There is a lot of Math-Metal in their early works, but their newest stuff is pop all the way.
I'm on the fence, personally.

I thought the earlier stuff was more funk-influenced metal than anything, especially L.D. 50.

Sounded like Math/Groove Metal to my ears.

Edit a page (not some obscure that no one goes on though) and show me that EVERYONE can edit it. |

Nice piece and great playing, but it doesn't sound progressive at all - just riffing over a simple song structure. IMO of course. |

Here in PropgArchives we done it several times and posted here, you just need to check, as a fact I corrected wrong information a lot of times
I don't trust Wikipedia, except when they quote references from reliable sites.

If you edit it to say Ronald McDonald is the 44th president of the United States, they tend to delete it, though.

But if you say Bee Gees released a Progressive Rock album called Odessa...Probably will stay for some time.
Or if you say that X band plays Rock, Pop and Progressive Rock, probably nobody will touch it unles it's a very famous band, which is not the case of Mudvayne.

At least not anymore...maybe 10 years ago it would have been noticed. |

In most cases I'd think Wikipedia is accurate, I've never came across anything that is outright wrong or any vandalism. However I don't think they are a good source as far as labeling band's genres go.
