To celebrate their 40th Anniversary of live touring, GONG, the progressive/psychedelic rock band originally founded in 1967 by Australian musician Daevid Allen will join forces with guitarist Steve Hillage and other core members from the original line-up for a rare UK tour in November 2009. The UK shows will mark the first time Gong have initiated nationwide UK tour since 2000.

They are also to play the Beautiful Days fest in Devon next month, as are Hawkwind. My tickets, it goes without saying, are long since booked.

Are you going Beautiful Days? I'm trying to also,it's just up the road from me.Also will be seeing them in november!

I'm going to both shows, and am going to meet the band. Those old pot head pixies better be good! Anybody wanna come, maybe get a chance to meet Blowin Free?

If u get a chance... grab the new book of Daevid just out...  mine is already posted... can't wait
daevid allen - Gong Dreaming 2  1969-1975   the first one... dreaming one... Soft Machine years was pretty good. u might have a little PHP drawed by the Alien himself on your book  :-)
