First, An Announcement:
For the purposes of this bout the octogon has been filled with 3ft of water.
In This Corner:
The North American Grizzly Bear (Ursus arctos horribilis) standing an impressive 8 ft tall and weighing in at a bulky 500 lbs. He's fast, he's fierce, and he has a taste for...anything he can get his claws on.
And in that corner:
The Northern Pacific Giant Octopus (Enteroctopus dofleini) weighing in at a miniscule 70 lbs but with an arm span of over 14 ft, ladies and gentlemen. He'll Get you, he'll hold you, he'll bring you down.
Let's get in on!
By the way, if anyone is interested in funding this I'd be more than happy to set it up.

I think bear/octopus fighting is illegal in many countries.. however, my money's on the grizzly if only for the jaw power alone

Psh. Grizzly bear, any day. Those things eat all sort of water beast for breakfast. The octopus doesn't stand a chance.
(And I'll leave the Gentle Giant jokes for firmer fans.)

i think you are underestimating the Octopus' quickness and strenth. Now, the bear may very well win but he'd better make sure that 14 ft wingspan doesnt wrap up around him.

I went with the bear originally, but now I have a doubt.

I think you will need about 12 feet of water to make this a fair fight. With the set arena parameters, grizzly.

BEAR IS DRIVING runs over the competition while the ART BEARS paint the grizzly picture. THE LONELY BEARS feel left out, but the FRIENDLY BEARS come and cheer them up.

The Octopus would last until the bear is drowned.

Imagine that, this silly poll reminded me about the Friendly Bears, and they can now be added to the archives. |

Excellent... I should have noted Volcano the Bear (CLICK) too (another overdue one -- see progfreak chart HERE). Volcano the Bear can bearly contain his pent up fury, and then explodes on the competition. |
