Well Violet you certainly blew up a storm.I hope you and your friends continue to discover new prog and old prog.As for what you can do try writing to local radio stations local papers tell them how you all feel.As for Mostly Autumn they are a very fine band but they have to deliver a better album than passengers with their next release. My hope is that Yes in their current line up can produce a classic Yes album. As for Mr.Collins some of us have an ambivalent relationship with him loving the drummer who he should have stayed and totally disliking the singer writer pop artist he yearned to become did become. No doubt this will run endlessly and we shall never agree on it.Keep the faith Violet, prog will continue to survive.Great music always will.

This is directed toward Shrinking Violet since it seemed to make her upset. It was a joke. Everyone, including Panoramic is a prog fan here or they wouldn't be here. It says just kidding on the bottom.....Relax!

I am not Alan Partridge, but I do like U2 - especially ‘Sunday Bloody Sunday’. What a great song. It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn’t it? You wake up in the morning, you’ve got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you’ve got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think “Sunday, bloody Sunday!”.
Here's a recent picture of me to quell any further debate on the subject...

This, surely, is the face of progressive rock for the future?

Young, smiling, warm, charming, the perfect son-in-law, ridiculed by his own mother, with a bad haircut, smooth as an eal. A pear has more personality.

Fragile, I thank you for your suggestions, I shall try them .
One must be persistant.
as for passengers , it is not a weak album far from it as it shows how heather can have that fiery passion in her voice as for example - Caught in a Fold, Josh comes to light on his excellent guitar playing and Iain Jennings shows what he can really do on - Distant train..its different from their other fine albums , this is only a little more mainstream rock.
abiento!

THE SOUND OF MUZAK
Hear the sound of music
Drifting in the aisles
Elevator prozac
Stretching on for miles
The music of the future
Will not entertain
It's only meant to repress
And neutralise your brain
Soul gets squeezed out
Edges get blunt
Demographic
Gives what you want
Now the sound of music
Comes in silver pills
Engineered to suit you
Building cheaper thrills
The music of rebellion
Makes you wanna rage
But it's made by millionaires
Who are nearly twice your age
One of the wonders of the world is going down
It's going down I know
It's one of the blunders of the world that no-one cares
No-one cares enough
Steven Wilson

Shrinking Violet I did not say Passengers was weak but you are right it was more mainstream and less prog, but you stick up for your faves but I repeat what I said they have to produce the goods with their next release 'Storm over Waters'
