There are sixteen top-notch tracks to choose from in this poll, so ELP must have done something right.

My favourite is Tarkus.

Like a few others, I prefer the entire KE9. But failing that, I pick Tarkus,

As a matter of fact, I like Benny The Bouncer very much

I'll have to second that.

good 2nd choice, and you will LOVE Tarkus when you get a chance to listen to it.  Have introduced many 'Noobs' to ELP with that song, and the 'oh sh*t' factor with that is priceless.

I had chili fo dinna. Little too mcuh Cayenne but nothing  a Barq's root beer can't soothe. My friend was finally convinced of Emersons genius after hearing Take a Pebble. He's been playing classical piano for ten years. He wasn't all that impressed by Tarkus, but I can see why. Take a Pebble is just shimmeringly beautiful.

funny you say that, Becks said something similar.  She said she still can't stand my music but she though that the piano playing was supurb. (she plays herself).  Then I played The Three Fates for her..... maybe after 10 years there is light at the end of the tunnel.......

You should pull a Partridge family type thing and get a family band going!

ahh you must have missed some of my posts. We have.  My son on drums, Becks on piano, and myself on bass/vocals.  My son has been 'drumming' since he was a toddler and he started playing the staccato intro to Yours is No Disgrace, he's getting to be a decent drummer as he gets older (love Carl Palmer as well as Bruford).  We have some nice family jam sessions.

That kicks ass. No geetarist? Do you pull a Les Claypool and lead the band with bass? You should record for us sometime. Nice influences on your son, those are great footsteps to follow in. I am wondering how your singing is...

not bad, I sing in my church choir, and sang lead in various groups I was in, back when I was into that scene.
