^Les Paul was a huge influence to anyone who played guitar. He created one of the most iconic guitars ever. And he developed many of the techniques that formed the backbone of modern music recording, including multitracking, overdubbing and tape effects. Seems to me that influence is greater than any prog-related artist currently listed on PA..

As for Miles, his Kind of Blue album, which is superb, is in the PA top 100 albums of all time. It is not from his electric period and is not Jazz-rock/fusion. It is absurd to label that release as such.
