It was borne from a love of progressive music, which by definition is an exploration of new and interesting musical landscapes–that pulls in elements from varied musical styles, challenges conventions and makes use of advancements in instrument technology. We have a thriving and growing community of musicians and artists who are keeping the vision of progressive music alive by striving to move beyond the boundaries of convention and exploring, be it by the injection of tonal and rhythmic complexities, unusual song structures, novel forms of instrumentation, or tasteful blending of styles. The people behind this festival have a sincere interest in shepherding unique, innovative and accessible music, art and technology into the world and to people of all ages. We have a longterm interest in supporting such arts as viable and sustainable occupations.
