Woah this was tough! Nearly went for Pan's Labyrinth or Star Wars or even Donnie Darko. In the end had to choose Blade Runner. Ace poll.

Lots and lots of good movies in this list but Star Wars A New Hope gets my vote(when it came out it was just called Star Wars,no episode number or anything).

And, I must ask, why only the first Lord of The Rings? The three movies are actually only one, divided to be released on the theaters.

How is Disney's `The Black Hole' not on this list lol?!
I'm sort of being sarcastic, but it's really one of my all-time favourite sci-fi flicks, and if anyone else remembers baddie robot Maximillian, try telling me that's not one of the greatest robot designs ever on film! Oh yeah, and that film also had one of the most intense and haunting visions of Hell ever committed to film, still freaks me out now to think of it. The score by John Barry was amazing too! :) |

i thought for 5 sec wtf does Jurassic Park do there, i though dinosours were real and not fiction, but then i realised it is a movie about DNA modified and created dinosaurs and what is more sci/fi then that even if it is bringing in somethingi really old into modern age.

From the list LoTR 1, but my favorite is not on the list. SWIII: Revenge of the Sith. Am I the only one who finds Eps 1-3 far more satisfying than Eps 4-6?

Donnie Darko is a personal favorite, so my vote goes there, followed by Inception.

Never thought I'd vote over Blade Runner, but damn it Jurassic Park still holds up. I'll take it over any Avatar nonsense.

I took the Empire Strikes Back because as Darth said to Luke, "You know it to be true" and zappo with the old light sabre and Luke is left with one hand. ( Mrs Palmer and her five daughters)

2001, since it's one of the most comprehensible movies of this list.
And I'm hardly joking here. |

Where's Eternal Sunshine, The Truman show, Being John Malkovich, Minority Report, or The Iron Giant?

Wall E was great too - thought it interesting that there was so little dialogue (in the first half especially) but you hardly notice when watching. |
