Not sure if suggested before, but TUXEDOOM certainly deserve an addition to the archives.

Since 1977 this Euro-Amercian band play a heady mix of new (no) wave, punk, experimental music, jazz and folk with heavy classical and progressive influences, not unlike The Legendary Pink Dots. Their first two releases appeared originally on The Resident's own Ralph Records label.
Definite Albums: 'Desire' and 'Holy Wars'

Sounds like a pretty interesting band.  Where are you suggesting them for?  I'll listen tomorrow as I see quite a lot of albums are at least partially available on their Myspace.

It was suggested before and evaluated by the avant team.  According to the progfreak voting chart, the team  thought it was best for Prog Related (the blue circle means Prog Related and the arrow is a "move" verdict (to be evaluated elsewhere, but I don't know if it was put to the Prog Related team):
Homepage Myspace us Tuxedomoon                 RIO/Avant/Zeuhl Chart: Move

Here's a thread where it was suggested before -- for reference purposes: Topic: Tuxedomoon
Forum: Suggest New Bands and Artists

I haven't listened to much Tuxedomoon, but it has similarities to The Residents.

They certainly deserve addition to PA and I think it is a shame that this has not been done so far ....
But I would suggest Avant team to reconsider them carefully because I think they have enough avantgarde elements, experimentalism, influences from classical music, opera, jazz and film/musicals, so even Eclectic banner would not be out of place.

I remember this band. From my memory I think they would certainly fit in here somewhere.

I'll give them a listen, too.

BTW, I know another artist that was voted unanimously "Move To Prog-Related" by the ZART but ended being added in Avant Tongue

What a great band, not the best example of progressive rock, but they do have some tendencies. It would be nice if you consider them for addition.

Absolutely. We need more post-punk here. You can't have "progressive" without the last forward-looking genre in the history of music.

Let's say "Proto-pre-post punk".

Really? Suggestions threads don't canvas inclusion and non-exclusion opinion -just because a few people has said the might fit here that doesn't mean a whole lot. Six members of the ZART team, including the person who originally championed them voted Prog Related yet none of them proposed Tuxedomoon to the AdminTeam for PR.

I don't think they belong here at all.

i just pointed on the positive attitude, (not aiming that, that would be waying a teams inclusion desisions) but it shows member of PA would want them, nothing more nothing less, and from what i hear they would not be a odd band in PA, but i also understand why they would not merrit an inclusion as their post-punk and new-wave elements are as strong as the experimental and avant-garde element,

They were signed to Crammed records, a label created by Aksak Maboul's leader.
I strongly recommend their album 'holy wars'. They could find their way to RIO.

Not sure they're really fit for ZART. They remind me of a few of the experimental/avant rock and post punk bands that were suggested in the past year or so - experimental for sure, but not exactly fit for the site.
If a SC wants to suggest them to PR, they can go right ahead.

Tuxedomoon perfectly fits in Prog related. They have at least 5 albums that are "very progy". Holly wars, Desire, You. Ship of FoolsThe Ghost Sonata...
Put them please.Smile
