Oklahoma City, OK –Progressive rock artist and OU graduate student Clay Withrow
unveiled his new 70-minute concept album, "Dissonance Rising" today. Ten
songs, including the 12-minute epic “The Grinding Part II”, capture an array of
moods with soothing ballads, technical thrash and soaring melodies.

Finding time between teaching courses in film studies and
finishing his master’s degree, Withrow avoids the rockstar lifestyle cliché by
living healthy and writing great music.

"Dissonance Rising is a concept album where each song
represents a particular time period,” explains Withrow. “It is a level of
storytelling that is rarely seen in music and truly deserves the moniker ‘rock
opera’”

Withrow is known for his operatic vocals, scalpel-precision
guitar work and memorable melodic themes. When he's not penning his latest
composition, he searches Europe and Asia for inspirational new sounds.
