My fiancee's daughter is called Kayleigh. No prizes for guessing the inspiration for that! Wink

Are your kids blessed/cursed with names inspired by prog bands or songs, or do you know of any who are?

Perhaps you have a prog name yourself, or you plan to give your children prog names. Let us know!

True! There's another Kayleigh at my work. Could Kayleigh be the most popular prog name?

Probably. It was a huge hit. Then later people converted to Kylie!

I like that name a lot, if I ever have a daughter that'd be my choice.

Felona and Sorona would be nice for twins.

But watch out, there are people who really give their children the most ridiculous names. Dweezil and Moon Unit, I'm sure they're very grateful to their father, mr. Frank Z. ... And Bob Geldof, who called his children Peaches and Tennessee Bob, which could be abbreviated to Ten Bob. Smile

There's a kid who lives near me, his parents decided to call him Sonnywolferine (Google it if you don't believe me!).

Why couldn't they have given him a proper name, like Grendel?

I'd like to name a future daughter of mine Melinda, after the main character's true love in Opeth's Still Life.

Mikael Akerfeldt had a daughter about two years ago and named her that.
