interesting enough to be a just for fun or a recommendation...

I usually went in awarding an artist, an album, a thing in one week, but mildly serious.

So:

My Artist Of The 16.12 - 22.12 Week: Peter Gabriel (I happened to not listen to Secret World Live and to a Gabriel album, in fact, in quite some time. The Wendsday evening listen and watch of the Secret World performance blew me off like always)

My Album Of The 16.12 - 22.12 Week: The Koln Concert by Keith Jarrett (I daily listen to a new jazz album from a complete artist journey, for more than six weeks that artist will be Jarrett, but now that I've reached the Koln Concert, this album is astonishing and it thrills me from the first to the last note)

My Song Of The 16.12 - 22.12 Week: Stuffed Tomato by Vangelis from "The Dragon" (by now, you must already think I'm queer at awarding choices. I already said a Gabriel live and video act blew me off old-nostalgic style, then I moved towards another thrill, to finally mention a different sort - and a short one also - of music composition. Well that's the case: Until now I totally disliked The Dragon, and I still do. But this composition is really the best thing from the entire material. Excellent dynamic percussion, tumultuous sense. It surprised me and it pleased me.)

See ya next Friday. Smile

Song of the Week - either "Last Christmas" by WHAM or "Shout" by Tears for Fears...non-prog, but both stuck in my head!

Album of the Week - SIMON SAYS "Paradise Square" 02 (great new symphonic from Sweden)

Artist of the Week - either InFront(Russia) or Esthetic Education(Ukraine) - both modern-prog, but differ from each other a lot...plan to submit them here next week...

Event of the Week - I finally passed ALL my exams from this term.Good Lord,I'm happy!

Artist of the week: Throndt. A guy from Germany who recorded a haunting atmospheric Black Metal album all by himself. Not the most original stuff but I found it very enjoyable.

Album of the week: Infront - Wordless(download the whole thing) Amazing instrumental prog rock, soon to be added to PAClap They could really help some publicity!

Song of the week: Merzbow - Merzbow - Srhere pt. 2

Artist of the 30.12.2006 - 05.12.2007 week: John Abercrombie (I've started listening to all his main music; so far the impression is incredible; Abercrombie will most likely have more than one week nomination)

Album of the 30.12.2006 - 05.12.2007 week: The ProjeKcts by King Crimson (excellent heavy experimental instrumentality from the Crimson masters)

Track of the 30.12.2006 - 05.12.2007 week: Re-awakening by Peter Hammill (from Fool's Mate) (quite wonderful tune)
