Aside from collecting music, I spent most of my free time searching from miniature plastic or metalic toys. Most of them are ment to be used in birthdays, as "surprise" (a tiny pakage of paper, containig candy and the kind of toys I'm mentioning, wich are the aim of my collection). I don't know if this is familiar to people on other countries. Anyway, I have boxes filled with tiny figures, wich include really weird items, like a plastic lion - medic. ¿You?

Seinfeld, Simpsons, Curb Your Enthusiasm, some others

Used to collect baseball cards, and comics- but I stopped colecting comics after I realized I was wasting my money, and timeSmile

I get die cast models of super/race cars in both 1/43rd and 1/18th scale. I only have about 12 as they take up a lot of space and can get expensive (hand made, signed models can reach a couple of hundred £'s, hand made, one off, 1/8th scale mosels I've seen go for the best part of £5000!).

Before I got seriously into music, I had a huge game collection, but slowly but surely I've been selling my games and buying CDs. Wink

I collect Trading Cards [Magic: The Gathering; Star Trek, Babylon 5 and Art Cards] as well as Star Trek memorabilia. I also have a an interest in collecting die-cast WWII aeroplanes and models. My collecting mania started when I was quite small with Postal Stamps. Now collecting is a hobby and an addiction which can get very expensive!!

When i tell people i collect stamps i get the same looks as when i tell them i'm into ProgGeek
Call me an anorak I don't care, but i think Football program collections and model railways are more nerdy!!LOL  some famous rock stars are model railway enthusiasts or have the most mundane hobbies.... i have a huge collection of British Victorian and commonwealth stamps, and an early USA collection up to the 60's, but i also specialise in line engraved issues, stamps in general are an extension of my interest in history and art.  i'm sure when Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are dead Britain will issue Beatles stamps....you have to be dead to be depicted on a British stamp... unless you're Royalty of course!
here are a few interesting ones...
