Have you ever found that your favorite album by a band turns out to be considererd by many as a lesser work or may even be derided?

For example, my favorite Yes album is Tormato and I often find myself defending that position.

Is Grace Under Pressure your favorite Rush album when everyone else insists that it should be Moving Pictures?

For me itīs Falling into Infinity-Dream Theater. Takes a few listens to get into it. But of all the Dream Theater albums, this is the one I havenīt grown tired of. Most people consider it their worst.

I think most people consider When Dream And Day Unite to be the worst but since I've heard neither() I cant say.

'And then there were three' - Genesis

'Tarkus' - ELP (Much better than BSS )

All the Calvert Hawkwind albums. Not many other Hawfans seem to like them..

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

I found that to be happening about Little Tragedies - "Return" which was released last year and it became my favorite release of 2005 (and i have many albums to choose from). It got many bad reviews but i treasure it.

I do enjoy many of the songs from the most hated album by Yes, "Union".

But not my favourite, of course.

And my least favourite is Big Generator, but it's not that bad...

The Flower Kings - World of Adventures (not very liked, but I think it is one of their best)

Roine Stolt - The Flower Kings - Probably his least liked solo album since the 90s ... As good as World of Adventures, if not better.

Rick Wakeman - White Rock : One of his lowest-rated albums in the 70s ... One of the best soundtrack albums ever recorded

Rick Wakeman - Journey to the Center of the Earth - Criticized by many, this album is almost perfect!

Guess what?......I love Tormato. See my name and signature. And I love it for all the "wrong" things that everyone critizice. I wouldn't take out a single note played by Wakeman, or Howe, and by the way, any other member. I think the battle of Wakeman, Howe and Squire to full every song with unlimmited melodies is adventurous and remarkable. Seems they are fighting to please me!

I've listening to it since 1980, on a very regular basis, and never get tired of it, honest.

"Rock is the medium of our generation"

I like Tormato, so shoot me! Every person in the world can't think the same.

I said almost just because the vocals in Journey are a bit too loud in the mix and the background music during narration is a bit too empty.

If those 2 things were taken care of, it would be on my top 10 for sure.

Its still my favourite wakeman album anyways.

White Rock is a wonderful instrumental album. The title track is one of the best synth workouts put on tape, the 2nd track has some of the best mellotron passages, the main riff/theme is memorable, laxx' is a wonderful experimental track, and the closer is as good as the highlights from Wives.

Ayreon : the Dream Sequencer, I always hear that this will not do and i have to like Human eq. or
             Electric castle better but i don't .

Spock's Beard : i like the first three albums more than "V", I'm not alone in this though.

King Crimson   : I think Red is much better than In the court , I love Starless and Fallen angel from the                          latter on the other hand I don't like 20 Schizoid from the former only Epitaph and
the title track are good songs here.

ELP               : The only track of this band that i find really outstanding (at this moment) is Tarkus.
