Topic: Who must leave Rush ? (poll) Posted: March 12 2006 at 22:57 |
Just say somebody must leave Rush, who would you prefer it to be ? not many bands have been together as long as Rush without change in their line up (all but their debut without Peart) sooner or later change must come it always does.
Which member can be replaced ?
By not voting it means you would prefer the band to call it a day.
To quote the professor "If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice"

Votes for Lifeson?
Rush isn't Rush with any member gone. Case and point.

I'm not voting. No way, Rush without any of the three can't exist. Like Zeppelin without Bonham.

RUSH isn't Rush without one of them (Lee, Lifeson, Peart) ![Approve](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley14.gif)
Instead of it...![Wink](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif)
Would you think of including a 4th member on keyboards?![LOL](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif)

I agree with most people here that any one leaving would just simply end Rush's rein.
BUUUT! If I were to sack any one of them, it would be Geddy. His voice is about as pleasant to listen to as nails on a chalkboard.
Replacement? Haven't a clue. Greg Lake, but no keys. John Wetton the same. Bass/keyboard player that sings is not exactly very common.

Rush would not function with any one of them gone! They just wouldn't be Rush.

Alex is not an amazing guitarist, but his personality is great and his stage presence really goes well with the band. No one can be replaced in Rush but talent wise Lifeson is the weakest link. I'd like to see a keyboardist added maybe just for a song. I'd be very upset if it were Rudess though, maybe a classic progger though: Banks, Emerson, Wakeman etc

All of them--- quickly and with little fanfare.

How come they never replaced him then?
Bizarre poll, all 3 are vital to Rush and they wouldn't be the same without any of them.
