1978 was a good year II

definitely Libre Service, hands down.

Watch, Gilmour, Expresso II, Cyclone, Wet Dreams and PDT are next.

But one can see why 78 is not that good: if three of my first seven are solo albums, I'd say that it is not a strong year.

BTW, I don't think the albums in the list of the first 78 poll is better. I can't remember what I voted in it.

tbh, I've only heard 3 of these (I've probably also heard the TD, but being as it would have been some time ago and I can't remember it, I'll say 'no'), so I went for:

I think it was a good year, I like a lot of albums from 1978, hence the poll title. 

Really? It never got old for me. While I do not listen to it as often as i used to, it's still great to get back to it every once in a while. 

I was born in 1968 and always think of it as a sound track from my later childhood. I could say to you that I'll give it another listen sometime; my feelings will no doubt have been moderated with the passage of time (every so often, I say this about the early 'Sky' albums), but in truth I doubt whether I will, purely because there is just SO much good music out there which continues to be produced unabated and only so many hours in a lifetime...
