Mostly spent the day with a tear in my eye Youtubing albums that I never got around to buying properly on CD or LP, and kicking myself for not jumping on them when I first loved them years ago. Some are still easily available, others are fetching some inflated prices, so might have to be patient and wait for eventual reissues...

Yanni - Optimystique - WHY am I just finding out now that his debut album from 1984 is kick-ass?! So much colourful synth-soloing plastered all over this one, plus killer instrumental melodies...the guy was an incredible player!  |

John Cage - Indeterminacy - John Cage spends 90 minutes monologuing about composition, Zen philosophy, and mushrooms while David Tudor creates unrelated noises with piano and electronics. Surprisingly great album. Recommended to the three of you that could enjoy something like this.
