Wow, sounds great to me. Thanks again for another fine recommendation They do sound extremely Isis/Tool "influenced" to say the least. Edited by Dominic - March 30 2008 at 06:50 |

When googling johnnytwentythree, Schizoidman77's last.fm profile is one of the first links that came up!

Close, maybe next time I'm listening to, while on the computer.
So I got a BUNCH of music over the weekend.
Metal/post metal...
Wolves in the throne room- Diadem of 12 stars- BLOWING MY MIND
Ulver perdition City- A strange follow up to Themes...
Toby Driver- In the l...l... Library loft- I'm afraid to listen to it, but will eventually
Tool- Undertow- Havent listened to it yet, but it's Tool, I know it's gonne be amazing.
I also got some Radiohead, and ELP, but thats not to be discussed here.

Depending on the album, they have a very strong post-rock influence. It lasted from Kid A to HTTT basically. |

^I definately did think post when I heard the first few songs (Kid A), I'm a little confused as to how big these guys are, and how they are supposed to be "radio friendly".
I dont really know what to think of the album yet, needs more listens.

They're not supposed to be radio friendly like most if not all post bands. Kid A is essentially an electronic post rock album in my opinion (except for maybe Optimistic). Either way, it's probably the reason why they were in experimental/post way back when I first joined.

Radiohead are massive because of The Bends and OK Computer. and even though they've started listening to Can and Miles Davis since then, it'd be fatal for any music mag not to review whatever they're doing.

Hello guys. I'm back and I brought presents too!
There's a Math Rock band called We Followed Tigers and they're giving away their 2005 release for free! I haven't heard it yet, but I do have their debut and it's a great album with lots of energy complexity AND melodies (for those of you who don't like math rock because it sounds to cold ). Here's the album: We Followed Tigers - So Much For Summer In case people don't believe me that they're giving it for free then check out their myspace page. |

It's preety interesting, for starters, the organic tape recording quality on two hunters is still n this album, though I dont know what they recorded this album on. The drumming is a lot different, less of the stupid black metal drumming, but at the same time, not as much as the epic rock drumming that I came to love on two hunters. I feel the chords dont really harmonize with each other as good as they did on two hunters, but the vocals are much better, theres even some deep throated grunts thrown in there, and the female vocals are otherwise understandable. It's really good overall, get it if you liked two hunters.
So Dan, are you trying to say Radiohead is non radio now?

They were when they released Kid A for sure. Now they're too popular to ignore but they only get played on more "eclectic" channels it seems. |

Yeah, I figured because they were so big to begin with, you cant really just retreat to the underground.
