I'm not a Prince fan in particular, but I like this one.

Have you tried his jazz-rock/funk album 'rainbow children'. Fantastic album that would probably deserve a place in JR/fusion section of PA.

I am inclined to agree.

No, sounds like I need to. Big smile
Ordering it now, what might go good with this?
Went ahead and ordered it alone.  Didn't see anything else I was interested in.

Brian, you might be interested in 'news from the jungle', a bluesy jazz-rock trio featuring Jef Lee Johnson, Sonny Thompson and Michael Bland.

Back to jazz.  I guess at some point Miles ran out of Miles puns for his album titles. LOL
Take your cover pic:

The boneheads at CD universe have this title under Gil Evans.  Not that he didn't play a vital part, but come on, this is a Miles record. LOL

Oh hell let's give it one of these: Rawks

This will keep me busy for a while:

Yeah, I heard lots of Zappa back in the day, but am just starting to re-buy stuff on CD.  Looking at his catalogue is a bit daunting for the pocketbook, ain't it?Smile

I've never heard a single Zappa album.  I've heard plenty of tracks, but never a full album (let's just say the tracks never piqued my interest).
