American Idol--the dumbing down of music

my favorite... and actually made a thread about this.. several years ago here... 

I was driving home.. some piss-ant classic rock station in North Carolina and they got Rick Wakeman on...  interesting question the guy asked... and Rick is giving his reply... and the DJ interrupts him .. mid-sentence and tells him to hold on.. that they had to go to commercial break.. The 5 seconds of dead air before Wakeman acknowledged him was CLASSIC radio.

Thanks for playing along, and again I rest my case. Your post actually triumphantly confirms what I have been saying all along, and is overwhelming proof of my original premise. Thanks for summing up all my previous posts with your summary, and the gavel can truly come down now.

Or do you just like to argue every inane point you can think of just to keep the argument going?   I'm actually more after darkshade's point here, which you just agreed with. The question still is: where;s the evidence of the superior intelligence of people who listen to Davis and Coltrane?   It's TASTE.

I can't believe how far removed this thread got from logic o:)
